From Zaha Hadid to Shirvansha Palace - on a business trip to Baku
During our office trip, just prior to the commencement of UN-Habitat Urban October, we explored Baku, a city rich in contrasts. As the economic engine of Central Asia and the host of the UN Climate Summit COP 29, Baku is undergoing a significant urban transformation. Here, futuristic architecture coexists with UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the influences of Persian, Ottoman, Islamic, and post-Soviet eras create a unique blend of history and modernity.
The culinary and musical highlights of the trip also provided unforgettable experiences. Overall, the journey was an enriching experience that inspired us both professionally and personally, prompting us to adopt new perspectives.
