As part of the federal pilot project "Synergies in Rural Areas", sa_partners used the example of the pilot region of Bad Zurzach to investigate the conditions under which regional centres can establish themselves as engines of regional development. In the course of the model project, a regional analysis, a regional development strategy, a spatial development concept and a work programme for implementation were developed.
