The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) have designated the Lancy La Praille site in the canton of Geneva as a development area that is to be transformed into an attractive mixed-use area with the involvement of the key stakeholders from the federal government, the canton and the city. sa_partners was commissioned to develop an urban master plan taking into account the urban structure and morphology as well as the future distribution of uses.
sa_partners developed an urban planning vision for the development, centred on high-quality housing and lively, high-quality designed public spaces, in consistent alignment with the logistics use on the site. The aim was to develop an innovative project that could integrate both railway services and, in particular, high-quality residential and leisure uses.
