As part of an interdisciplinary team, sa_partners was commissioned with the conceptual and urban design for the development of the Circle at Zurich Airport into a new urban district with international appeal. sa_partners was responsible for urban design and and urban planning and tested a innovative mix of uses in its design, taking into account traffic, environment, economy, architecture, urban planning and process design. Under the leadership of sa_partners, the results of the conceptual design were incorporated into a master plan that defined the framework for the subsequent architectural competition.
