Pilot projects as Urban Living Labs – Strategies for spatial development in transition

With the pilot projects for sustainable spatial development, the Confederation is promoting new approaches and methods for the fourth time in order to develop innovative solution ideas in the priority areas set by the Confederation and to test them on site in so-called "real laboratories". From the 103 projects submitted, the Confederation has selected 32 that will be supported with around 3.9 million Swiss francs from 2020 to 2024. Two of these are developed by sa_partners.

While the "Pilot scheme for a common regional development strategy " project is investigating new types of network-based organizational models for the Zürcher Weinland, the focus of the "Urban innovations for progressive provinces" project is laid on the opportunities of digital transformation for rural regions.
