The development of the masterplan is in line with the SDGs for Zangilan City. The proposal focuses on a smart and green city development, with the overall goal to create a landmark for modern solutions and clean energy production in the region.
While aiming for a net-zero future, it is also committed to take a restorative approach in order to preserve the existing natural resources, therefore including the scenic landscape of the Oxcucay River to create a unique blue-green design. A number of key buildings were also proposed and developed in order to create a liveable neighbourhood and resilient city.
