Karlsruhe High-Rise Concept [GER] – Spatial framework and guidelines for the high-rise development of the City of Karlsruhe

Why should a high-rise building be approved at precisely one location in Karlsruhe? Would there be more suitable locations in the immediate vicinity? What requirements have to be defined for the high-rise buildings? And do we even want new buildings in the city that deviate significantly in height from the surrounding standard developments?

The Karlsruhe high-rise spatial concept serves as an orientation framework for the future development of Karlsruhe into the third dimension. It forms the basis for subsequent evaluation, control and quality assurance. With its guiding ideas, the concept clearly takes a stand on the attitude, goal and purpose of structural high-rise development in Karlsruhe.
