The "Neue Mitte" quarter is a 50-hectare development and transformation area extending between the residential areas of Lucerne, Kriens and Horw and represents one of the last large development reserves in the Lucerne region. In line with the Luzern Plus municipality association, the area is to be developed as a mixed neighborhood with 5000 residents, 5000 jobs, a campus, and leisure and recreation facilities.
